Member Digest: September 2020
Hey friends,
The gathering today was good old fashioned fun. Thanks to the approximately 60 of you for attending and welcoming the new members. And thanks again to all of our panelists for speaking to the group on advanced supervisory controls. If you missed the event, hereās the recording:
Like last month, I went ahead and left some of the breakout room discussions in the recording.
And⦠as I said during the gathering, I now have a place for you to submit podcast ideas:
- Regular podcasts submission formāI get a lot of emails and LinkedIn messages about episodes I should do. This form will let you submit them and then Maddie will be in touch when weāve selected your idea.
- Friendly Rants submission formāDennis and Iās 5 rants that we recorded in May are now all published. The final one comes out tomorrow morning! This form will let you submit your rants for consideration. Canāt wait to see some of your ideas!
There were 5 deep dives / members-only posts in September, in case you missed any of them:
- How overlay software becomes sticky
- š§ #017: Friendly rants volume 4: You can't get fired for...
- Side note: How have I heard no feedback from this? Zero, zilch, nada. I put myself out there, you guys⦠Ā
- Episode #18 reaction: three different growth patterns of the overlay
- Episode #19 reaction: sales strategy, digital twins, IAQ sensors, and buzzword bingo
- Episode #20 reaction: the three parts of an open API
Again, thanks for being here. Have a great week.
āJames
P.S. There are a lot of new members! If youāre new around here, you might want to bookmark some of these deep dives from the archives to enjoy with your morning coffee this week:

- Compliment with our August member gathering recording
- The energy management hierarchy of needsāIf Iām a building owner and I want to reduce the energy consumption of my portfolio, what options do I have? A great lead into this series š
