Fixing the Design & Construction Process
Welcome to our NexusCon 2024 event recordings! These recordings and slides are available for Nexus Pro Members only.
About NexusCon
The industry needed a different type of conference, so we built it. NexusCon 2024 was full of sponsor-free content, real-world case studies, and most importantly, our community.
We heard from 109 speakers across 24 different sessions over a span of 3 days. Although nothing beats the in-person real-time learnings from NexusCon, we are excited to release the NexusCon session recordings to our Nexus Pro Community. We have over 40 hours of hot takes, knowledge bombs, collaborations, and disagreements among smart buildings industry experts to share with you.

About the Session
This is the NexusCon session dedicated to the construction phase of the smart buildings process. We’ll hear different case studies providing lessons learned and success stories of new construction smart buildings strategies.
JP Morgan Chase will highlight the success story of 270 Park Ave. Strong decision-making relationships between IT, OT, real estate, and management are at the forefront of this 2.5 million-square-foot skyscraper, which has the highest occupied floor in NYC and is a 100% electric building sourced from renewable power.
After the case studies, we’ll have a lightning-round of presentations from expert smart building consultants:
FPC Global and The Clarient Group will explore how a lack of clarity and understanding in the asset lifecycle hinders the adoption of modern technology in buildings, contributing to productivity losses and missed opportunities for digitization, sustainability, and resilience.
Newcomb & Boyd will guide building owners in strategically setting the foundation for smart building systems during new construction, ensuring future ROI isn’t compromised by early missteps.
GMC Commissioning will convey the power of professional commissioning services to ensure that features of a smart building are installed and used as effectively as possible.
