September/October Member Digest
Welcome to another Member Digest… a collection of recent highlights you shouldn’t miss.
These digests are designed to save you time and allow you to catch up on the whole month. Or, in this case, two months. Then you can dive deeper wherever you’d like.
Enjoy.

1—Member Gatherings (Recordings)
September's Pro member gathering, two Pro members from Lockheed Martin's Facilities Management team presented the LM smart building program. I really loved this conversation because it highlighted so many of the reoccurring themes from the podcast and our Foundations course. The recording is right here.
---
For today's October Pro member gathering, Anto Budjiardo will unpack the Smarter Stack framework developed by the members of Monday Live!, many of whom are also Pro members. Of course we'll also do our normal breakout room routine! After the session, the recording will be here.
2—Members-only goodies from September and October
In case you missed them, members received 4 deeper dives since our last digest:
- SME Workshop: Ariel Smith on the state of real time carbon accounting
- The Lens: Occupancy Data—The latest edition in our ongoing series where I unpack the strategy and context behind the news in as few bullet points as possible. For past editions, check out Vol. 1, Vol. 2, Vol. 3, Vol. 4, and Vol. 5.
- The Nexus Vendor Landscape is updated with Occupancy Data, Energy Program Management, and Grid Interaction Platform categories
- SME Workshop: John Walsh on "Smart Buildings Under a Financial Lens"
3—Member conversations
As always, there have also been some great Connect conversations, in case you missed any of them:
- Shout out to Mike Barker, who started posting relevant non-Nexus events on the community Events page. Kudos Mike!
- REALCOMM IBcon—Many of us will be meeting up at next week's IBCon. We'll do a member happy hour at 4pm. Details here.
- Easiest DAQ Solution—Cory Mosiman posted a question about data acquisition and the members delivered lots of great info!
- People Counting Systems—Cory also asked about People Counting and the members delivered again!
- Bald men don't COUNT—Speaking of people counting, Lawrence chimed in with some funny troubles that one product is having with bald men!
4—SME Workshops featuring… you!
What are you an expert in? I know that each of you has a deep expertise that would help us move forward as a community. Our SME workshops are a great way to get your name out there, build relationships, and get feedback on your ideas.
To can grab a spot on our calendar in the future to teach the community... just hit reply and we'll work out the details.
Speaking of SME workshops, I've created a new SME Workshops archive page to make it easier to revisit and discover oldies-but-goodies.
5—Upcoming ways to get involved
There are a bunch of upcoming ways to get involved in the Pro community!
- Pro member happy hour at IBcon

There's a new feature in the chatroom: a searchable and filterable members directory!

Check it out here and please update your profile so people can find you!
