NexusCon 2024 Buyer & Vendor Symposiums
The Buyer and Vendor symposiums were two closed door events.
The Buyer's symposium was exclusively for building owners. A safe and private place for them to connect with their peers on the challenges of purchasing building technologies. Buyers who attended the session discussed the following topics behind closed doors:
- Cybersecirty: How do buyers navigate the sea of options?
- Hard to find the ROI: how low budget buildings implement energy saving tech?
- Naliing the internal pitch: how to you influence finance, IT, C-staff, and other departments to see the value in your tech?
- Leveraging legacy sytems: getting data out of BAS, lighting ,etc.
- I don't know what I don't know: How to determine how much vetting a new technology needs.
The Vendor's symposium was exclusively for technology vendors and service providers. A safe and private place for them to conect with their peers on the challenges of selling building technologies and services. Vendors and service providers who attended the session discussion the following topics:
- How to not waste your time on building owners who have no intention of going past pilot.
- How div 25 spec can enhance tech adoptions.
- How to get an accurate building system inventory from a new customer.
- How we set up the next generation of smart buildings nerds for sucess?
- How to get the client ready for a smart building program.
After these private sessions where building owners could complain safely about vendors and vendors could complain safely about building owners, we raised the wall between the two sessions and brought everyone together. Watch below for a recording of the joint session:
