1—Newsletter & podcast highlights

As always, we shipped our Tuesday newsletter and Thursday podcast each week. I also kept my commitment to daily LinkedIn instigation (😂) on Monday-Thursday.

My highlights for those of you that are short-on-time:

---

2—Members-only goodies from November 2022

Nexus SME Workshop with Marta Soncodi—Pro member and Smart Buildings Programs Director at TIA, Marta Soncodi, dove deep into the UL/TIA SPIRE Smart Building Assessment program with what it is, how it works, why it's valuable, and how people can get involved.

---

Nexus Pro Member Gathering with Ben Myers—Global Leader in Real Estate Sustainability and ESG and Vice President of Sustainability at BXP, Ben Myers, unpacked BXP's smart buildings program.

---

3—Interesting chatroom posts and conversations

  • ESG by Lee Odess—There seems to be a ton of focus on E and less on S and G….Why is that?
  • Digital Twins vs Smart Buildings by Krigh Bachmann—Krigh dives deep into defining these two terms. Does a digital twin need a 3D component? Do you agree with the Digital Twin Consortium definition? Where do you think the borders between Twins and Smart Buildings lie? Or are the lines getting blurred?
  • FIN Framework and Niagara Framework? by John Forester—Are these two frameworks an apples-to-apples comparison or do they feed off of each other? With a focus on FDD and ASO, does one offer better integration over the other? Where do these two frameworks converge/diverge?
  • Just added to the Vendor Landscape by James Dice—This month's editions to the Nexus Vendor Landscape.

---
