1—Newsletter & podcast highlights
As always, we shipped our Tuesday newsletter and Thursday podcast each week. I also kept my commitment to daily LinkedIn instigation (😂) on Monday-Thursday.
My highlights for those of you that are short-on-time:
- On the pod, we covered absolute zero carbon with Sara Neff, CRE Market with Mandi Wedin and Joe Gaspardone, and decarbonization from the trenches with Brad White and Leo Glaser.
- On the blog, we're halfway through a 5 part series on the vital roles for smart buildings success. The series starts here with the Smart Building Champion.

3—Interesting chatroom posts and conversations
- ESG by Lee Odess—There seems to be a ton of focus on E and less on S and G….Why is that?
- Digital Twins vs Smart Buildings by Krigh Bachmann—Krigh dives deep into defining these two terms. Does a digital twin need a 3D component? Do you agree with the Digital Twin Consortium definition? Where do you think the borders between Twins and Smart Buildings lie? Or are the lines getting blurred?

There's a lot of fun to be had in October! Here are a few things to look forward to...
- Subject Matter Expert Workshop: The Plug and Process Loads Workshop will provide the opportunity to hear from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s (NREL) Plug and Process Loads (PPLs) Technology Research Team about the state of PPL controls and reduction strategies. December 7th @ 9am MT
- New Member Orientation: Nexus Founder, James Dice, will host an introduction to the Nexus Labs Community and how you access and take advantage of all the resources that come with your Pro Membership. This is for new members or those who've not taken advantage of all the resources at the Nexus Community. December 12 @ 2pm MT
- Nexus Foundations Alumni Office Hours: This is a monthly event for all Nexus Foundations Alumni, hosted by James Dice, Founder of Nexus Labs. Post your questions here ahead of time as a comment. December 12th @ 9am MT
- Member Gathering: No Gathering due to the holidays.
