Package 1: Newsletter & Podcast Ads

We’re offering a limited number (2 per month) of sponsorship opportunities in our flagship newsletter (with over 5,000 engaged subscribers) and our podcast (with over 7,000 listens per month).

This is a very effective and easy way to get your product, service, or content in front of the movers, shakers, buyers, specifiers, and thinkers in the smart buildings industry.

What You Get As A Sponsor

When you purchase a sponsorship, you get four deliverables, which are delivered in one calendar month:

  1. 4 advertisements in our Tuesday newsletter. The newsletter is published at 6am Eastern Time every Tuesday morning. Your ad will be 1 of a maximum of 2 ads in that issue.
  2. Similarly, we send out weekly emails about our podcast every Thursday morning at 6am. You get 4 ads in that email too.
  3. 4 audio advertisements in our weekly podcast. Your ad will be 1 of a maximum of 2 ads in that episode.
  4. 1 advertisement in a LinkedIn post.

Ad Creative Requirements

  • Ads are text only, 2-3 sentences long, and can include one link.
  • The text and link should be to something designed to teach the Nexus audience something. If your product or service moves the industry forward and you educate people on how to do that, sales will be a byproduct of that education.
  • You will supply the copy and we will edit it to fit Nexus Labs’ voice.
  • Ad copy is due by the 1st day of the month prior to the month you will be advertising in (We work ahead by up to 30 days).
  • Submitting your ad copy reserves your place in line.
  • All ads are subject to editorial approval.

Package 2: Thought Leadership Program

We’re offering a limited number (1 per month) of sponsored thought leadership opportunities. Collaborate with James Dice, founder of Nexus Labs, to produce a piece of high-quality educational content to be distributed to the Nexus audience via the Nexus website and newsletter.

This package is designed for smart buildings technology vendors that have a compelling product, breakthrough, case study, or other story to tell that helps move the industry forward. The pieces will be co-designed to educate first and avoid being salesy, thereby associating your brand with the Nexus brand.

What You Get As A Sponsor

When you purchase a thought leader sponsorship, you get four deliverables:

  1. Nexus helps you ideate, edit, and tailor your piece to the audience. The pieces will be co-designed to educate first and avoid being salesy, thereby associating your brand with the Nexus brand.
  2. Nexus will produce and/or collaborate on graphics that match with the Nexus brand and yours.
  3. The piece gets a dedicated blog post, promotion in the newsletter, and on LinkedIn.
  4. The thought leader goes on an exclusive "contributors" page on the Nexus Labs website.

Creative Requirements

  • The essays are not salesy, high in detail/nerdiness, and will have a very high quality and educational bar.
  • If your product or service or case study moves the industry forward and you educate people on how to do that, sales will be a byproduct of that education.
  • Submitting your payment and creating a proposed outline in a shared Google Doc reserves your place in line.
  • Publication is subject to final editorial approval by Nexus Labs.

We’re offering a limited number (1 per quarter) of sponsored deep dive opportunities. Nexus Labs will interview your team and other stakeholders to produce a piece of high-quality educational content to be distributed to the Nexus audience via the Nexus website and newsletter.

This package is designed for deep dives into compelling products, breakthroughs, case studies, or other in-depth story to tell that helps move the industry forward. The pieces will be co-designed to educate first and avoid being salesy, thereby associating your brand with the Nexus brand.
